FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQs):

1.Why do you only stock factory Remington bdl bottom metal inlets on your A-5s?
It is difficult to order stocks with the specs everyone needs. I stock this inlet on the A-5s for two reasons:
   1. to accommodate the guys using a factory stock firearm
   2. the bdl inlet is small enough that it can be easily opened up to work with all other bottom metals.

2.What is a flush cup?
A flush cup is a small metal cup installed flush with the surface of the stock. This makes for a quick connect/disconnect with your sling            loops by the push of a button without leaving a stud protruding from the stock.

3.Why would a person have the flush cups installed on the side of the stock?
This is another way to mount a sling vs. mounting your sling in the typical positions on the bottom of the stock.

4.What is sniper fill?
Sniper fill is a heavier denser fill in the lug area compared to the standard fill. It adds a little more weight and seems to balance a heavier             precision rifle to create a more stable platform.

5.How much more weight will sniper fill add to the stock?
The weight will vary with stock models. Sniper fill can add one quarter pound to an HTG stock and up to one pound to an A4 or A5. Those building guns for hunting often opt for standard fill.

6.Is molded-in color better than painted?
Both the molded-in finish and the painted finish are durable. The molded-in finish is probably the preferred finish for heavy use.

7.Why is it suggested a black stock be painted?
A molded-in color stock has a smooth gel coat finish. On a darker solid color stock (black), this finish tends to show some final finishing and sanding marks. It is recommended that you order a painted black stock for this reason.

8.My molded-in olive drab (OD) stock has some small sanding and molding marks on it. Why is this?
The molded-in olive drab (OD) finish is considered a utility grade working-man's finish; a showpiece finish is not top priority here.
Molded-in camo finishes tend not to show as many finishing marks the way molded-in solid colors do, "but all molded-in finishes show finishing marks no matter what color or camo pattern."
